Checkpoints & Aid

There will be two aid stations:

Williams Top picnic area (approx. 8km); and
Lagoon Pinch picnic area (approx 16km and only for 33km).

The Lagoon Pinch picnic area aid station is a mandatory check point.

Runners are required to carry their own hydration pack/carry bottle. Water and electrolytes will be available at the aid station. There will be no gels provided at the aid station.

The Thunderbolt is an environmentally friendly event and to preserve the National Park, there will be no cups available.

Runners undertaking the Corker are required to check-in with race officials at Lagoon Pinch picnic area before and after the Corker section. If race officials, believe a runner should not proceed up the Corker, the runner will be asked to head back to the finish to complete the Thunderbolt Challenge. This rule is to ensure the health and safety of you as a runner.
